Jeff & I continue our prep for Mount Kilimanjaro with daily local hikes carrying 6kg backpacks UP⇑ down⇓ UP⇑ along eskers and drumlins. Followed by 30 minutes on the stationary bike late afternoon. 10km daily (or 13,650 steps).    

Prepping for Mount Kilimanjaro

Count down to departure. Been hiking in conservation areas all winter but yesterday added 6kg: a daypack packed with books. Orang utans, the People of the Forest, are found only in the rainforest islands of Borneo, Indonesia, and Sumatra, Malaysia.   We visited the orangutan, Pongo pygmaeus, in the Indonesian province of Kalimantan, Borneo.
